About the event


In this two day workshop you'll work with repurposed, scavenged materials and wire to make wild animals!

Students will begin with a mammal. Next, we will learn the basics of making a bird.

Techniques of random weave and wrapping will be discussed.

The best thing you can bring to this class is wide-open expectations. 


Material list for participant to bring to the workshop

Please bring printed or dawn images of the animals you are interested in making!

LOTS of plastic bags 

Fabric scraps 

Yarn, thread, string 

Buttons, beads, feathers, sticks, rocks, other treasures 

Wire: any gauge you already have i.e. florist, copper, tie wire etc

Safety glasses!! 

Small bottle PVA/fabric glue 

Cutting mat 

Tools: sharp cloth scissors, pliers (needle nose), sewing needles, pins, awls 

Work apron 

Material fee approx $30 to be paid in cash on the first day of the workshop
